My name is Sky Burke. I am a 24 year old Personal Virtual Assistant. My hobbies include photography, knitting, video games and wine, of course!
My Story
My journey started in high school when I fell in love with photography. I decided to pursue this venture into College and got my Diploma in Photography and Videography at Mohawk. Then COVID hit. During lockdowns, I discovered the power of Social Media. I spent hours studying algorithms, trends and different platforms. I also completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Multiplatform Storytelling at Humber. At the same time, I was working part time at a local winery. This is where I became extremely interested in the wine industry itself. I have spent the past two years studying wine through various courses at Brock and taking on the WSET levels at George Brown. Over time, and upon some deep self-reflection, I realized that I have a very unique skill set. Rather than trying to “fit in a box” I came up with a way to combine and showcase those skills for my career path. It has been an incredible lesson of pivoting, of thinking “outside the box”. This is something I can truly embrace and, in turn, I am able to bring my passion to those in the Wine Industry, as well as for Creatives, Entrepreneurs and Small Business Owners. My ability to create has manifested into something I am proud of. My own business.
